We have worked hard to make Windsong Dental Arts a “Comfort Zone.” Our state-of-the-art equipment and techniques go a long way toward eliminating the discomfort that some people feel about having a dental procedure performed, but we understand that our guests sometimes may be apprehensive. We understand that. It’s normal.
Please be assured that our top priority is your comfort. We’ll address any apprehension you may be experiencing and take every measure possible to assure that your experience with us will be comfortable (and, we hope, pleasurable!).
Remember, first, that you are in control at all times. During your procedure, let us know how you are feeling! If you want to stop the treatment at any time, simply let us know. If you would like to take a short break, we’ll happily accommodate your request (we’ll even leave the room if you’d like).
Serene Surroundings. We have recently remodeled our office to make your time with us more pleasant. Large windows provide a wonderful view of nature outdoors. Relax and let our massage therapist pamper you during longer procedures. Or, if you prefer, simply gaze upward and watch the movie of your choice while listening with stereo headphones.
We carefully provide pre-procedure injections that are comfortable! Prior to numbing, a gel anesthetic is gently applied with a cotton swab. Flavors range from Piña Colada to bubble gum, offering a wide choice for adults and children. For the ultimate in comfortable injections, ask about “The Wand,” a computer-controlled anesthetic.
For those who need extra help relaxing, premedication with anti-anxiety medications is available. We understand the emotional reaction to dentistry and work with you to see that your stay is comfortable and relaxing. Why should it be anything else?
Infection Control. At Windsong Dental Arts, we take no risks whatsoever. In addition to a regular cleaning and sterilizing of all instruments as recommended by the American Dental Association and Center for Disease Control, we sterilize all hand pieces (drills) with state-of-the-art units. Finally, all clinical staff members wear safety masks, gloves and glasses. We strictly observe all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines.
Reduced X-Rays. We have reduced by 90% the amount of radiation received by patients undergoing routine x-rays. Computerized Digital Radiography is virtually instant – no developing is required. Instead, the image appears on the monitor within 5 to 10 seconds. Images are stored on the file server and retrievable at any time in the future.
